How to Use The Law of Non-Resistance to Achieve Your Goals

People generally want to progress and succeed in life. It's only natural. Yet most people have not achieved the level of success that they desire and this causes them great frustration.

People then resist where they are not realising that this very resistance is helping to keep them fixed where they are.

There's a saying that "the present is perfect" and this is rich in truth. Every moment of every day of your life is perfect. Even if it does not represent the life that you ultimately want it is, nonetheless, perfect. When you are able to accept this you reclaim your power to improve your current state.

Remember that what you resist persists and as Ralph Waldo Emerson says:

"The only thing that grows is that which you give energy to."

Where you are right now is a confluence of your past thoughts, feelings and actions. When you resist your present state you are giving energy to it. However, this is not to say that you should be satisfied or content with your current lot in life. What it does mean is that you have to embrace where you are and give yourself credit for your achievements while looking ahead to the future.

Just think of the typical thoughts that run through your mind when you are in a state of resistance regarding your current position:

~ I'm a failure.
~ I should have achieved more in my life.
~ I should be further ahead by now.
~ Life is passing me by.
~ I'm not good enough.

These are all negative thoughts and not one of them will empower you to achieve your goals and dreams.

When you are in a state of resistance your mind and body is in conflict. There is an enormous internal struggle. Any positive thoughts you may have related to helping you to advance are countered and neutralised by your negative thoughts.

Can you see now why people remain stuck?

The frustrating thing is that many people in this state, for whatever reason, are unwilling to do the work necessary to harmonise their thinking and mindset with their goals and dreams. They may be reading the right books, doing the right courses but still resist improving the quality of their thinking.

When you practice the Law of Non-Resistance you become calmer, more focused and more confident about achieving your goals. You no longer fruitlessly expend energy literally battling your current conditions but whatever is thrown your way you quietly and emphatically find a way to deal with it.
