Bill Bartmann: The Mindset of a Billionaire - Part 4 of 5

This is the fourth part of this mini-series examining some of the fundamental characteristics of a billionaire as identified by Bill Bartmann.

The fourth characteristic of billionaires relates to taking ACTION. Those with billionaire thinking know that to achieve MEGA success that they have to:

Get Off the Couch!

Without action, everything I have mentioned previously is futile. In some cases you will not be entirely sure what to do and you may only be in a position to take small steps towards achieving your goals but every step is critical because it is the small progressive steps done consistently well over a period of time that will lead to big dividends.

"No matter how small and unimportant what we are doing may seem, if we do it well, it may soon become the step that will lead us to better things."
Channing Pollock

It is in your hands whether the results you achieve are positive or negative, whether the results you achieve lead you towards wealth or poverty.

"Small efforts can produce enormous results. That's what wealth is. Poverty is when enormous efforts produce small results."
Robert Allen

It will seem scary at times - like jumping out of a plane without a parachute. You'll have to learn how to grow wings on the way down and you'll have to learn FAST. And that's ok as long as you allow yourself to remain open and remember that you will not be faced with more than you can cope with.

Believe in yourself and believe that things will work out just right. And, even although you may not be able to see the finish line, keep your vision in sharp focus.

However, there's no point in taking action just for the sake of it. I was speaking to someone recently who said that she needed to get organised. It was clear that she had a very packed schedule but, from what she said, her problem was not a lack of organisation it was a lack of the right kind of organisation. She needed to re-organise how she did things to gain greater efficiency and productivity.

She also lamented that the people she hired to help her with certain activities just didn't seem to work out for one reason or another. I asked her if she had clearly identified the type of person she needed to help her with the running of her home and business. She admitted that she hadn't and there was the answer to the problems she was having.

To achieve big goals you will need systems and the help of others. However, if you don't clearly identify the right systems and people for what you want to achieve you will end up worse off rather than better and having to work twice as hard. You need to take action and you need to be effective or else at the end of the day you'll just be busy but will have nothing to show for your efforts.

Don't wait until things are perfect to get started on striving for your goals. Things will never be perfect. And don't allow lack of credentials, expertise, etc. stop you from pursuing your dreams. You can gain these along the way if necessary but you've gotta get started.

"You don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great."
Les Brown

So get off the couch and start pursuing your goals and dreams today.
