Surviving Tough Economic Times and the Armoured Mistfrog

An article on Discovery Channel about the Armoured Mistfrog brought a smile to my face. This tiny creature, just 1.5 inches long (shorter than my little finger) had not been seen in Australia since 1991 and was thought to be extinct.

It was thought that these frogs had been wiped out by the devastating chytrid fungus which decimated frog populations around the world.

So far about 30-40 Armoured Mistfrogs have been found and here's what's intriguing. The frogs that have been found are infected with the dreaded fungus but it does not appear to be making them sick. Somehow thy have learned to survive with what is potentially a life-threatening fungus.

Now, I know that some people could give a toss about a tiny frog but I see life lessons all around me. The resilience of these frogs demonstrates that even although "bad" things can happen to us we don't necessarily have to succumb to adverse circumstances. We can learn to adapt.

"Life's challenges are not supposed to paralyze you. They're supposed to help you discover who you are."
Bernice Johnson Reagon

Yesterday, following the collapse of Lehman Brothers, 5,000 people lost their jobs in the UK. And, many more are likely to follow suit as a result of either this financial crisis or another. What a way to start the week! Yet, this is not a time to panic.

However, if anyone was ever in doubt, there is no security in a 9-5 job. Now more than ever, individuals should be thinking about, if they have not already done so, of starting their own business to create an alternative stream of income. Also, having your own business is seen as the only predictable way to become wealthy.

For some, this prospect can be quite daunting. There are so many potential pitfalls and this is why having a mentor is so important - someone who has been there and done it. Learn from someone who can show you the ropes so that you can get ahead in your business in record time without making needless mistakes.

What if you could learn about business from a self-made billionaire? It takes a rather rare individual to reach billionaire status but do you suppose that, if you were mentored by a billionaire, you could learn how to create a profitable and lucrative business?

What is even more significant is that this business coach went from bankruptcy to billionaire status. So this individual really knows a thing or two about dealing with adversity and overcoming challenges.

In fact, this special training program encompasses everything from examining if you really have what it takes to succeed in business, because some people are just not cut out to be business owners and entrepreneurs, to learning how to deal with the multitude of challenges that will come your way. Here just some of what you'll learn with the Billionaire Business System:

~ The 10 biggest mistakes that businesses make.

~ How to grow your business fast.

~ The 8 things you need to know to recession-proof your business.

~ Where you need to make cuts during a recession.

~ Where you need to spend more during a recession.

~ How to automate your business

~ The 6 keys to business success.

And much more.

Going back to the Armoured Mistfrog it would appear as though this little frog really did develop some form of armour to overcome the challenge of the chytrid fungus. You too can develop your own armour so that you can not only survive these unstable financial times but also learn how to thrive under such tough conditions. When the tide turns, as it will, just think how well positioned you will be.

You'll be amazed at the small price tag to gain access to this training.

P.S. The image accompanying this post is clearly not a picture of an Armoured Mistfrog which are light brown with dark spots and whitish feet but I rather liked the look of this cute, little fella.

The quote by Reagon is an amazing quote. I had to stop and write in my journal I keep next to my desk. Its empowering quotes like that that can give you hope again to start working even harder. I'd say it is vitally important for every entrepreneur to take a little time each week to be inspired by either quotes, stories or new ideas.
