Bill Clennan: Winning Words from Speakers Hall of Fame Inductee, Bill Clennan, Plus Tips for Great Business Cards

I recently met Bill Clennan, an inductee of the Speakers Hall of Fame at a course I attended in Los Angeles. He has been a Professional, Motivational and Inspirational Speaker for more than 38 years and has given over 10,000 presentations!

However, what impressed me most about Bill was his warmth, humility and charm. Every day he greeted me with a broad smile and a hug. After three short days I felt as though I'd known him for years.

On the back of his business card he has a poem which he wrote himself you can click HERE to listen to this poem and for an audiopostcard you can email to a friend or read it below:

"The contest lasts for moments though the training's taken years
it wasn't the winning alone that was worth the work and all the tears.
The applause will be forgotten and the prize will be misplaced.
But the long hard hours of practice will never be a waste.
For in trying to win you build a skill.
You learn that winning depends on will.
You never grow by how much you win;
You only grow by how much you put in.
So any new challenge you've just begun,
Put forth your best and you've already won."

I hope this poem has inspired you to become a WINNER! You can receive a weekly tip to build your Winner's Image by simply sending an email to Winner's Image.

Finally, Bill Clennan made his business card memorable and unique by placing his poem on the back of it.

If you're anything like me then when you attend events you probably end up with several business cards and, particularly if you do not follow-up on them immediately you can often forget who the cards actually belong to.
