Success Strategy - Use Less Effort but More Energy, Part 2/2

Wallace D Wattles said:

"To think TRUTH regardless of appearance is laborious and requires the expenditure of more power than any other work a person has to perform."

This is why it feels like you're expending a great deal of effort a lot of the time because you allow yourself to keep seeing things as they are and then you get frustrated because things do not improve. Your current circumstances are a result of your past thoughts and actions. To create a new reality in your life you must see things as you want them to be, i.e. change your thoughts and act accordingly. It may sound complicated but when you put this success strategy into practice you will feel energized because you will start being more proactive and less reactive. You will feel as though you have more control. You will feel more positive. Your circumstances may take a dramatic u-turn or they may change more slowly but as soon as you change your internal thoughts your external world will change. That is the law.

Okay, let me give you an example. You receive your bank statement and it doesn't paint a rosy picture. Now that bank statement is simply a reflection of your past thoughts, actions and your past level of awareness. It doesn't have to be your future. If you want to have a healthy-looking bank statement then you must see it that way. Then you will start to think of the things that you can do to improve your finances and you will start put these ideas into action. At the same time, the Universe will respond by sending you opportunities that will assist you to achieve this goal.

We also expend a lot of effort when we attempt to do things that we simply are not very good at doing. In this case you need to weigh up whether or not it is worthwhile for you to improve your skills in this area or whether it is something that you should delegate or outsource. What you find a chore someone else may find an absolute delight. Delegating or outsourcing is a great success strategy as it will free your time to focus on more profitable tasks and this will enable you to recoup the money you spend on outsourcing.

"It [money] frees you from doing things you dislike. Since I dislike doing nearly everything, money is handy."
Groucho Marx

We often do the easy tasks first because they are quick to finish and get out of the way. This may be appropriate sometimes if those tasks are easy and also important. In other cases completing these tasks may not have a great impact on your circumstances. They may do very little to move you from where you are to where you want to be. You can fill your entire day doing these insignificant tasks and make no significant progress.

It is important to identify the tasks that will move you closest to your goals and are aligned with your goals. Unfortunately, these tasks tend to be the most challenging and complex tasks. However, there's a huge payoff for applying this success strategy. In addition to moving you closer to your goals when you complete these tasks you will experience a tremendous sense of achievement and a surge in your energy. You may also dramatically improve your skills and competence in a certain area. Consequently, you are better equipped to tackle even more complex tasks and the easier tasks become easier still.

Finally, another reason why you feel as though you are lacking in energy to complete a particular task is because it breaches your values of integrity. If this is the case, unless you can resolve the integrity issue, and by that I don't mean lowering your standards, you probably shouldn't be doing that particular task. Find an alternative solution. When you are not fighting your true nature you will have more energy.

You have deep reservoirs of energy. You can discover how to tap into those reservoirs effectively and, when you do so, your life will become more productive and successful with much less effort.
